Nathan Sloan, Fort Caswell’s marketing coordinator, said Fort Caswell is not open to the public, but groups and people can call ahead to schedule a tour or stay at one of the many houses, or “cottages,” at the site. Many of the residences were former Army barracks and officer’s homes.

My boyfriend and I came to fort Caswell in hopes to enjoy living history. However, a church bought the property and they refuse to allow you walk on the property. The only people that are allowed to walk are people who are there with a church group.
